The quiet act of showing up
Share
There will be days when your ibadah doesn't feel like enough. When you open the Quran and the words blur. When you make du'a and the silence feels heavier than usual.
Those are the days that matter most.
We often measure our faith by how it feels - the warmth of a khushu-filled salah, the clarity after a long du'a, the peace that settles after dhikr. And when those feelings aren't there, we assume something is wrong. With us. With our faith. With our connection to Allah.
But showing up when it's hard - that's not a sign of weakness. That's sabr in its truest form.
The Prophet ﷺ said: "The most beloved deeds to Allah are those done consistently, even if they are small." Not the most emotional. Not the most elaborate. The most consistent.
So on the days it doesn't feel like enough - show up anyway. Make the salah. Open the page. Say the words. Not because it feels powerful, but because you're choosing to remain.
That quiet act of returning - again and again - is its own kind of worship.
